Fishing in Snowdonia – A Photo Essay

Road trip time. Adrian, Janis and I organised a weekend away fishing in Snowdonia (North-West of Wales). What is best described as an Instagrammers paradise! We explored: fields, forests, rivers, lakes and abandoned buildings. A weekend to remember.

We spent the weekend spinning for Brown trout. We caught a few small fish around 1lb but nothing worth bragging about. The weather in Snowdonia is very changeable, we spent hours hours walking in the rain. However, as the sunset approached we were greeted with a spectacular show.

Since this visit to Snowdonia I have been lucky enough to visit a number of separate times. If you have an interest in visiting you can see our guide for Climbing Snowdon here. If you’re looking for a place to stay then make sure to check out Beddgelert and if the weather is too bad then definitely head to Portmerion. Snowdonia is a magic place. One of the closest places to NZ I have found outside of NZ.

I am currently planning my trip to Iceland this weekend. As a spur of the moment decision I picked up some cheap flights for a long weekend away. Those photos are sure to be amazing! Take care and have a happy day guys. Keep exploring!
